My baby is growing up!!

Taylor has been making great strides in the potty training department. We had decided to not make it an issue until after his surgery but we always try to pay attention and ask him if he needs to go potty and he started wanting to go. So being the good mommy I write a note to Ms.Cathy our daycare provider and let her know that for about 3 days Taylor has been going to potty off and on. She responds back that at daycare he had been going for 3-4 weeks!!! :)) LOL!!! Oops, mommy and daddy were just a little behind!!

Now at bedtime and naptime, since the beginning, one of us will take Taylor to our room and lay down with him until he goes to sleep. At night time we would wait a little while then move him to his bed. The problem has always been that Taylor needs NO stimulation to go to sleep. He gets one pillow, no blanket, no toys, no light, no cuddling, no talking, no t.v. You cannot stimulate him at all because he will NOT go to sleep. It took us a while to figure all that out. It could be exhausting at times trying to get him to sleep. Well after we started daycare and got into a routine the amount of time it took to get him to sleep drastically reduced and we had talked a couple of times about when we were going to make him start going to sleep in his bed but I am not sure we were ready to do that to him. I guess we had imagined him crying and screaming. So occasionally over the last few months while doing our bed time routine we would say do you want to go to sleep in your bed and he would always say no and point to our room. Well last week James asked and he said yes. So he asked again and got another yes, so he went and put him in his bed....and he went to sleep. I didn't even get good night kisses and hugs because it just happened on accident. So now almost a week later Taylor is going to sleep in his bed for nap time and bedtime. He sleeps with 4 or 5 teddy bears and they all line up on the pillow with barely any room for Taylor and then he lays down and peeks at you through the slats of the baby bed as you stand by the door ready to turn the light out. It's the sweetest thing!!

His favorite thing to say has become, "I want that" or "I don't want that". And we hear it ALOT!! He is just the most precious, sweetest child. How did we get so lucky????
I also posted a couple of pictures of Taylor's first trip to the river for Memorial Day and his first jet ski ride with Chris and Hayley. Also one day he was playing in the play room and I caught him sitting in the drawer to his train set disassembling it!!
