Seoul, Korea

James had the awesome opportunity to go to Seoul, Korea with his mom, sister and niece for a week in June. James and his sister had never been and they got to meet a few family members and see the great history of Korea. Their mom is staying a month, so she is still there.

Their first meal in Korea.....I guess they just needed something familiar :))

James' mom, one of her nephews (who is 1 year older than her), and her nephews wife and son. No furniture to sit on in their home, you sit on the floor.

The hotel James and Susan stayed at in the Gang Nam area of Seoul.

Called the Freedom Bridge, close to the DMZ(demilitarized zone) between North and South Korea. People place ribbons on the bridge in remembrance of.

train kept as reminder from Korea War

Located at the DMZ, in hopes of reunification one day.

A palace they toured, this is during the changing of the guard.

At the palace.

put on roofs to ward away evil spirits....I think.
This was the princesses personal garden at the palace, because once she became princess she was not allowed to leave the palace.

A very large Buddha at the temple.

at the buddhist temple
at Lotte World (like Disney)

The best dinner they had in Korea......maybe ever. Family took them to a restaurant.

The did a boat tour one night and this was a bridge they went by.
