We've been tagged...

We have been tagged by a friend of ours April who adopted a cute little guy, Aiden from the same orphanage as Taylor. Their blog is www.journey2aiden.blogspot.com. She is much more computer savy and blogger savy than me and I think she has much more blogger friends than me but I will give it a try... with a couple of twists.

You have to post these rules before you give the facts. 1) Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to you life for each letter of your middle name. If you don't have a middle name, use the middle name that you wish you had. 2) When tagged, you need to write your own blog post containing your own middle name facts. 3) At the end of your blog post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don't forget to leave a comment telling them that they're tagged and to read you blog.

O.K. my middle name is Michelle and that's tooooo many letters so I will go with Rose which is what a neighbor of ours (when I was 6) used to call me "Jennifer Rose".... I kinda liked it!

R-Respiratory, I am a Respiratory Therapist, I enjoy what I do and best of all I only work 3 days per week. I always thought I would want to be a SAHM until I became I mother and then I figured out that I am a better person and better mother to have that time at work.

O-Oh so in love with my husband and my son!! James and Taylor are everything to me and I love them oh so much!! Our life is full of love and laughter and becoming parents has just been the best thing ever!!

S-Silly, we love being silly, and we constantly pick and Taylor has a sense of humor that fits right in.

E-Eat, our favorite past time is eating!! We love to eat good food and our favorite food is Japanese and sushi. Of course, Italian ranks up there too. And yes, good ole country cookin' you just can't beat it. Yeah...we just really like food!

I don't have a lot of people that I know that blog, so tagging someone else is going to be difficult. This will be my homework. To be continued........

Good news from Cardiologist

Yesterday was Taylor's follow-up with the cardiologist. Because the appointment was late in the day James took off early to go with us. They repeated the echo and EKG and said everything looked great. They cannot hear a murmur but on the echo there is one tiny place where blood is passing through where the whole was. She said that there is probably a stitch there and probably the next time they do an echo it won't be there anymore. So for now he would have to have antibiotics before dental cleanings and dental work but other than that treat him as a normal kid with NO restrictions as he grows...because after all he is a normal kid now with a normal heart!! Also we don't have to see her for a follow-up for a year and then after that she said she would probably only see Taylor every 3-5 years. How awesome is that!! So after being at the doctors office for almost 2 hours and it being time to eat....we celebrated with sushi!! Yes it was a great day!

Another August baby...

James had his 36th birthday today. Taylor was so excited about the cake (he may have thought it was for him again). When we had cleared the dinner plates and called him to come get cake he squealed and started screaming for his cousin Trey to come (they were playing in the living room). Taylor then gets in James lap and blows out the candles like 3 times before I could get him to stop so I could take a picture and as soon as we snapped the picture the candles were blown out again.
We had a great weekend. Friday night we went to the county fair and I was so mad because I forgot my camera. Taylor got to ride the 'old timey' cars twice, the merry go round, and a real pony. He is always so scared of Traci and Bill's horses but he got up his nerve and enjoyed riding the ponies. He also got to watch some motor cross racing and just kept saying "I wanna wide, I wanna wide". He was definitely over stimulated by the time we left he was just looking around everywhere saying "I want that, I want that, I want that". He just wanted it all....and who could blame him.

Like father like son....

So unfortunately tonight James had some brake problems on the way home with no warning so once I got home from work outside he goes to work on his truck and as I type 2 hours later he is still out there. Taylor watched him from the patio doors for a while and then came into the living room to work on his car. Too precious!

Just getting my hair wet!

Just Taylor's way of getting his hair wet in his pool. Check out the water. He brings rocks, sticks and leaves to swim with him....boys!!

Another masterpiece...

New p.j.'s from Paw Paw and Grandma
playing with the Walls'
Playing with my cousin Trey

Yes, I did it again, hehe!! I made a cake for Taylor's daycare birthday party last Friday. This one was much easier and Taylor once again enjoyed blowing out the candles. Although we went to the birthday party at daycare we only stayed maybe an hour. Yesterday was his first full day back and he started crying as soon as James started heading in that direction. He doesn't cry long and I know he has fun with the other children while he is there, but poor James. I have gotten really lucky because I don't have to take him to daycare or pick up. He only goes on my work days and my work day begins and ends tooooo early and too late to allow me to take him. Lucky me!!

Taylor was finally released from the surgeon yesterday and they all just oohed and awed over Taylor and how well he has done!! She said we could treat him like a normal kid now and he can have his riding toys back. The funny thing is, he has never missed them or asked for them. But I know he will like having them again. We will meet with Taylor cardiologist in 2 weeks who will tell us how often we will have to do follow ups as he grows. Maybe it will only be once yearly!! That would be nice.

Happy 3rd Birthday Taylor!!

Since we had the birthday party on Monday, we decided to just have a birthday breakfast this morning and give Taylor his gift from us which was a slide/climber thingy for the back yard. It has a steering wheel on it up in the top part so Taylor was calling it a car. I've been calling it a fort???? Anyway, our little guy is 3. He has been with us for 8 months now and I just can't remember life before Taylor!! Wow, how much we love this little guy!! There are no words to say just how much we love him and just how much our life has changed, in such a good way!

By the way, for birthday breakfast we had biscuits and chocolate gravy!! My mom used to make chocolate gravy for us growing up, a recipe passed down from her mom. I have always had a sweet tooth so I always loved, loved chocolate gravy. Taylor seemed to like it as well. Another southern classic!
